Chang Woo Kim

 

My research background mainly focus on morpho-synthesis of metal and metal oxide, and its application in an energy and environmental science. My current interests are on solar-to-chemical energy conversion via water splitting reaction and CO2 reduction reaction.

  • Jun 2020 to May 2025 working on project entitled “Fabrication of Non-Precious Based High Efficient Electrocatalysts for the Selective Fuel Production and Their In-Situ Monitoring During Photoelectrochemical Anisotropic Reaction” as a principal investigator, PKNU.

  • Jun 2017 to May 2020 worked on project entitled “Fabrication of High Efficient Photoelectrode with Junctioned Photoreactive Facet for Hydrogen Evolution” as a principal investigator, PKNU.

 

  • Sept 2016 to Feb 2017 worked on project entitled “Fabrication of Highly Efficient Photoelectrode with Layer-by-Layered Single Crystal Metal Oxide for Artificial Photosynthesis” under the guidance of the Prof. Charles Buddie Mullins, McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin.

  • Nov 2013 to Aug 2016 worked on project entitled “Artificial Photosynthesis for Methanol Production by CO2 Reduction” at Korea Center for Artificial Photosynthesis as a Research Prof. under the guidance of the Prof. Young Soo Kang, Department of Chemistry, Sogang University.

  • March 2013 to May 2013 worked on project entitled “Synthesis of Semiconducting Nanostructures (NiO, Ni(OH)2 and Co3O4) by Hydrothermal Process” by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, under the guidance of the Prof. Paritosh Mohanty, Department of Applied Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

  • March 2010 to Oct 2013 worked on project entitled “Photoanode for High Efficient Dye Sensitized Solar Cells” at Center for Next Generation Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells under the guidance of the Prof. Young Soo Kang, Department of Chemistry, Sogang University.
